On April 2, 2020, the NSW Government announced a new assistance scheme of up to $10,000 for NSW small businesses. To be eligible, businesses will need to:
- Have between 1-19 employees & a turnover of greater than $75,000
- A payroll of below $900,000
- Have an ABN & employ staff as at 1 March 2020
- Be based in NSW
- Be highly impacted by the Public Health Order on 30 March 2020 e.g. gyms, cafes, restaurants, small accommodation places
- Use the funding for unavoidable business costs such as utilities, overheads, legal costs & financial advice
- Provide appropriate documentation
Applications will be open through Service NSW within a fortnight & remain open until 1 June 2020.
